To sum up the 2nd of May 2022, Joshua conquered it!

Mastering the skills and mustering the courage and trust in himself, Joshua Teope approached the day of his first solo flight equipped with the teachings and techniques from all of his OMNI instructors.

Leading to this very moment, Joshua has always been fascinated by airplanes, specifically in the field of military aviation. This childhood fondness pushed him to pursue becoming a pilot - in addition to the reason for a high pay grade, he humors.

According to Joshua, OMNI propelled him to reach his dream of a premium aviation education by giving him the flight instructor that will best fit his learning style. Captain-reveal, yes?

Capt. Francis Bryan G. Hilario is his primary instructor. Capt. Hilario describes Joshua, “Joshua is good and yet practices repeatedly in developing expertise.”

The process towards his first solo flight “was not an easy path.” Starting from scratch, he persevered in gathering all the necessary knowledge and skills to fly an airplane. Two of those skills that stood out for him are high level multitasking and developing his confidence.

These skills were amplifyd in his special day as his family and friends cheered him all throughout his first solo ride.

To cap off his special day, his first solo ride will not be complete without the pilot ritual of dunking newbies with a bucket of ‘special’ (sometimes filled with urine, water, and dirt) mixture . Each of his family members and friends got a chance to take a picture and drench Joshua.

As he reaches a memorable milestone in his aviation career, he calls to all his fellow pilots and aviation professionals who may still be struggling with the effects of COVID-19. He sends the hopeful message to “always trust the process” as witnessed by Joshua’s amazing journey.
